UNTOLD REALITIES: LANGUAGE OF DRESSING(PART 2)

Dear Single Ladies,
I urge you to please endeavor to read through.
As I continue from where I stopped last week, it’s important you put it at the back of your mind that your focus anytime you want to dress up should always be to please and glorify God.
Below are the languages your dressing MUST ALWAYS speak. Note that all of these languages are excerpts from the Holy book; It should always be our guide in all we do as Zion daughters.

1. Modesty
The first thing that should come to your heart anytime you want to dress up should be to dress modestly. Sometimes ago, I remember a slang that went viral. I began to hear ladies say “I SLAY TO SO&SO”. What’s slay? I decided to check the dictionary meaning since it is an English word.

Then I saw that it means “to kill”. Oh my God! How on Earth will you be happy for killing others with your dressing? You call yourself a child of God and what you are after anytime you want to dress up is to slay. That’s uncalled for!

It’s good I remind you that you are bought with a price and you must honor God with your body. How? By dressing modestly to please and glorify God. Let me add this; One of the ways to reveal the greater one that lives in you is not just by tongues but also by dressing modestly. Why? Your outward appearance is a reflection of your inward man and that is why you should not call yourself a daughter of God and dress like a prostitute. Dress modest!

2. Decency
I have always wonder about the misconception some had about being a child of God. Whoever tells you that what will make you to make heaven is to dress shabbily has only told you a lie and it is nothing but a lie from the pit of hell. As a lady, spirituality is not a call to look shabby or unkempt. I am not saying that you should start using all your earnings to buy cloth.

Rather, cultivate the habit of taking care of the ones you have. Wash, dry, iron them and learn how to combine colors and patterns in a befitting way. Don’t wear a flowery or pattern skirt and top together. It is 100% wrong. It should be a pattern and plain material.

Some of us are even fond of saying “Nobody is looking at me”. Who told you that? That’s a big lie! Knowingly or unknowingly to you, some people are watching you and your decent dressing could be a tool to lure them to wanting to serve your God even without preaching to them.

Decent apparels does not include tight or body revealing clothes (It is medically proven that it is not an advantage to your health), it entails putting on fitted(not tight) apparels according to your body shape. Make it a priority to always dress decently; it makes you different from the children of Belial.
