Fellow spiritual brothers and sisters( I mean sons/daughters of God), gather here, let’s reason together. I’ve got few questions and I would like you to sincerely answer these questions and share your experience (s) while I share mine;
i. Do you have a crush?
ii. Where did you meet he or she?
iii. What did you do thereafter?
The word “crush” has always been used overtime amidst the youths. You see someone and the next thing you hear is “that’s my crush.” It took me time to understand what it really meant. Later on, I was able to realise what the word captures via my relationship with friends and as well get to know that it’s a dictionary word.
From the longman dictionary, it means an infatuation with somebody one is not dating. Thank you, dico!😁😁 In a layman language, crush can be defined as having loving feelings for someone due to the known or unknown reason which could be between the same or opposite sex .

Flash back to an experience I had sometimes last year. It was a Sunday morning, I woke up and dress to church in my simple and modest attire as I always want it to me. After the service, a pretty young lady walked up to me, asked for my name, complimented my dressing and said,”I just love you, I don’t know why!” You care to know what my expression looks like? I blushed🤗🤗🤗 and at the same time had a deep thought of what drew her to me.
Another experience I had was that of an handsome instrumentalist who sighted me during service and came to meet me after the service. This time around, what he crushed on was the beautiful face wearing a distinct hat. That’s all! Funny, right?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I remember having a conversation with a colleague of mine who told me she was crushing on someone but was shy to mention who it was. If I may ask, is it a sin to crush on someone? IT IS NOT! Your reaction and actions thereafter is what determines if it will or will not result to sin. Peradventure you are crushing on your boss at workplace, pastor, your friend’s fiance or your Aunty’s husband /uncle’s wife or any other person as the case may be, what do you do?
1. Firmly tell yourself, he/she is not yours.
2. Boldly walk up to the person and tell them what you like about them. This helps you to kill strange&lustful feelings.
3. If strange&lustful feelings persist:
✓Pray about it; Lust is not of God, God is Love!
✓Speak to a trusted friend or mentor.
By doing so👆👆👆, you will not become vulnerable to lust which is a sin to God and your body. Have a blessed week. Shalom!
